Why Adopt from our Café?

We are a nonprofit corporation. Most cat cafes get their animals from a local rescue but they operate a for profit operation. 

We do not. 

All of the money spent at Charlie's Angels Animal Sanctuary, Inc. supports our nonprofit mission. 

We rescue all of our animals from high kill shelters.

We do not accept cats at our location.

Your cat has a veterinarian. 

This means:  

Your cat will come home healthy - free from Feline Aids, Feline Leukemia, worms, parasites or other illness. 

Your cat will be up to date on all vaccinations.

Your cat will be microchipped. 

Your cat will be spayed or neutered. 

This eliminates the need for you to have to worry about post operative care.

Most people seek a new pet that will get along with the other pets and children in their home.

Cats and families each have their own personality characteristics. By meeting our animals in a stress free environment prior to adoption, you have a better chance at getting to know your adoptive pets' personality prior to taking them home. 

We strive to create a stress free environment for our animals 

We don't believe housing our animals in cages or cat traps is best for them. 

Granted some cats are ill and need to be kept in isolation but even those cats are not kept in cages. 

We have approximately 25 cats that roam around in their 1500 square foot apartment loft in Downtown Monroe.

You are helping your community when you adopt from us. 

You are assisting with overall population control as all of our adopted pets are spayed or neutered before going home.

When you adopt from us, we have room to save more animals. So by adopting one, you save two lives.

Animal homelessness is a problem and by adopting you become part of the solution.

You help stop overbreeding and the cruelty that occurs in mass breeding facilities by adopting a rescue. Who doesn't want to stop a puppy or kitty mill?

If saving a life and adopting a healthy pet that you already know and like is not enough of a reason to adopt from us, we have some more.

It is cheaper to get an animal from a Rescue organization.

You are investing in your own health! Studies show pets are psychologically, emotionally and physically beneficial to their companions.

You will feel proud that you helped an animal in need.  

You can choose to adopt an older pet or one that does not need any training.

You will always have us as your support system.

You can continue to support our nonprofit and your community by purchasing from our café. 

This in turn helps the animal homelessness problem even after you have adopted from us. 

You can also support our mission by stopping by and mingling with some of our new cats. Our cats love hanging out with people.

Lastly, you can always return your adopted cat to us. We view this as you fostering the animal. You took care of the cat, helped us learn about the cat and this in turn will assist us in finding its forever home.   

Operating a nonprofit does not mean the animals need to be overcrowded or that the facilities need to be subpar. 

Our goal is to elevate the animal adoption process.
